This was the book that got me into reading, the book that I fell in love with. It was amazing. Gangs, Violence, and how being in a gang or associated with a gang can change your life or your out look on life. I could say so much about this read, but I don't know where to start.

It's a typical love story but different in the way the story is told. The girl meets a boy and she thinks hes one person but turns out to be someone else, She gets involved with a gang which she told herself she would never do, but than she gets attacked and her life completely changes, she loses friends, gains some new ones for life, but he doesn't want this life for her, But he may becoming someone she doesn't want to be with even though she loves him. A raid happens and he is evolved, and now everyone is saying that he is a snitch, and so is she. After not hearing from him for a few weeks he asks her to meet him and she gets hurt again but this time by the people who she called family. and in the end he tells her the truth and he turns out not to be this back stabbing friend or this terrible man, but this true man who wanted to get justice for his family but in the right way.

Allison van Diepen did an amazing job in this book. and I'm glad because if my mom hadn't bought this book for me for my 15th birthday.... I don't know if reading would be one of my biggest passions.
